Frequently Asked Questions

What is 30DayTags?
30DayTags is a new approach to categorizing and searching for information on the Internet. Anyone with a website (or blog, eBay listing, etc) can list their site with 30DayTags using their own tags and also their own listing information. Social-search & people-powered, our goal is to provide the most relevant information through human feedback.

What is a tag?
Tags are a new and easy way to describe a link, categorize sites, and actually organize data on the web. Flickr, vSocial, and Digg are just a few great examples of sites that leverage the technology and we're betting that over time we'll see a lot more. Especially when searching for information on the web.

How much does it cost to list my site?
100% free. Always. Feel free to tag everything on the Internet. Websites, eBay auctions, job postings, blogs… you name it.

How long will my tags stay on the website?
When you create a tag, it’s good for (you should know this, its in the name) 30 days. At approximately 27 days, we’ll send you an email asking if you would like to extend the tag for another 30 days, if so just click on the link in the email and we’ll give you another 30 days.

Why are postings good for only 30 days?
Our goal with 30 day tags to have super-fresh results.  We also wanted to give sites, eBay’ers, recruiters, and people who schedule events the opportunity to be part of our search results. We understand the fleeting nature of the information the post and wanted their participation in our tag directory/search engine.

Can I set up an RSS feed?
Yes! Setting up an RSS feed is a fantastic way to keep abreast of additions to any particular tag/category on 30DayTags. For example, if you’re interested in updates related to “blogs” just set up an RSS feed for our the “blog” tag and any time a new tag is created for the tag, we’ll notify you immediately.

Who’s behind 30DayTags?
We are Jon Myers and David Hunegnaw and we are the founders of 30DayTags. We’re a couple of guys based in Columbus, OH that have a real passion for the Internet. We have a laid back (actually pretty intense) crew that likes to take back-of-napkin ideas, throw some sound judgment and solid economic fundamentals at them and create great websites that offer real value for our users.
