About Us.
30DayTags is a privately held company that provides a fresh approach to organizing and searching for data on the Internet. While traditional search engines provide results based on proprietary algorithmic collection methods, 30DayTags allows for user-contributed content and ranks results based on visitor feedback. Additionally, content on 30DayTags has a 30-day refresh, ensuring that content is both relevant and fresh data.
User-Contributed Tags.
30DayTags allows users to contribute content using a technique called “tagging”, which has been billed by the Wall Street Journal as “The Next Big Thing In Searching.” Users assign keywords or searchable “tags” to their listings that they believe will be useful to others. Subsequent searches on 30DayTags bring up the results, all ranked by people.
Up-to-Date and Relevant Results.
All user-contributed content is good for (you’ve probably already guessed) 30 days, allowing relevance in results as well as providing an opportunity for sites that often have short-lived content. A couple of great examples would be a job-posting, an eBay listing, or a real-estate listing. By the time the average search engine picks up a one of these particular listings, the job has already been filled, the listing has expired, or the house has already sold… you get the picture.
Ranking.
When visitors search for information on 30DayTags, they have the ability to both rank and also comment on each link with the goal of providing better and more relevant results. It’s social-search. It’s people-powered. It’s providing a better experience through human feedback.
Syndication.
30DayTags allows users to setup RSS feeds for any and all tags. So, if you want us to keep you posted for updates, just subscribe to a feed and we’ll instantly notify you anytime we receive a new listing that meets your needs.
A better user experience.
Yeah, yeah everyone says that – very true. But, we think that fresh, user-contributed content along with real-time feedback on our results makes for a better experience overall. We also think that the power is in the hands of the user. We hope you think so too. If so, tell a few friends about our startup because the more users that are contributing, the better experience for all. |
